Formed in 2024, the Schaffer Brothers Band have become a fixture of western Colorado roots music. Blending influences from funk, country, and blues, the band has developed a unique, soulful sound, with captivating songwriting at the center of it all.

Their self-produced debut album Old Thing New reflects all of their various musical influences of the past and present. Recorded at Killion Sound in Los Angeles, CA - a cornerstone studio for modern R&B and funk - Tyler (guitar, lead vocals), Kyle (piano, organ), Sage Vickers (drums), and Everitt Merritt (bass) recorded the eight-song record live-to-tape in three days.

 “Old Thing New,” the ending phrase in their song  Another Reason Why also serves as a metaphor for the record itself: making old sounds, old production, and old styles sound new again..
