The Schaffer Brothers Band

The Schaffer Brothers, Tyler and Kyle, are musicians & songwriters located in Grand Junction, Colorado. Born with a love for music, they both took up instruments at a very young age and stuck with them ever since.

Tyler, the youngest of the duo, began playing guitar at the age of six, drawing inspiration from artists in R&B, classic rock, and southern rock genres.

Kyle, the elder brother, introduced Tyler to this music and shares similar inspirations reflected in his piano playing.

 

They both draw huge musical inspiration from their father, whom never played an instrument, but always had classic rock and R&B radio, tapes, and CDs on. 

 

The Schaffer brothers had a slight preference switch with the introduction of Waylon Jennings's music in their early teens. The introduction of Waylon's music lead them down a path into discovering all the country music greats, and greatly influenced the way they approach their songs and musicianship.

Now a-days, much of their inspiration comes from Country and Blues artists like JJ Cale, Leon Russell, Waylon Jennings, Delbert McClinton, and Little Feat amongst others.
